Salimetrics’ 1998 founding is a classic story of two scientists’ insatiable curiosity about everyday biological occurrences combining with their unbridled idealism, and the result leaving the world just a little better than they found it. Penn State Professor of Biobehavioral Health Douglas A. Granger and Eve Schwartz intellectually founded Salimetrics to provide researchers, the immunodiagnostic industry and analytical and functional testing laboratories with innovative salivary immunoassay products and services to test for stress-related biomarkers, like cortisol. Entrepreneur Richard Supina joined them to take their groundbreaking products and services to market, so they could expand their capacity for assisting researchers.
