Behavioral Endocrinology Lab
The Behavioral Endocrinology Laboratory (BEL) at Penn State was founded in 1988 as a non-profit research facility fulfilling the service, research, and teaching objectives of the College of Health and Human Development. The lab is dedicated to assisting researchers throughout the world define the links among biological processes, behavior, and health.

Center for Nanotechnology Education and Utilization (CNEU)
The Penn State Center for Nanotechnology Education and Utilization (CNEU) is the home of the Pennsylvania Nanofabrication Manufacturing Technology (NMT) Partnership and the National Science Foundation (NSF) Regional Center for Nanofabrication Manufacturing Education, an NSF-sponsored regional Advanced Technology Education (ATE) Center . The Center for Nanotechnology Education and Utilization (CNEU) is dedicated to research, development, and education across all aspects of micro- and nanotechnology. The resources of the Center for Nanotechnology Education and Utilization (CNEU) are focused on the incorporation of nanotechnology into secondary education, post-secondary education, and industry applications.
College of Communications
Innovation Park is the home of the College of Communications Audio Lab, Digital Broadcast News Lab, and television studio. Students gain both on-air and behind-the-scenes experience.
Conferences and Institutes
Conferences—a part of Penn State Outreach—plans and manages more than 300 programs each year. The programs represent the diversity and strength of all of Penn State's academic colleges. Cooperative Extension
Penn State Cooperative Extension is an educational network that gives people in Pennsylvania's 67 counties access to Penn State's resources and expertise. It is funded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture and state and county governments. Through this county-based partnership, Penn State extension agents, faculty, and local volunteers work together to share unbiased, research-based information with local residents. The extension network is one part of Penn State Outreach and Cooperative Extension, which also includes Continuing Education, Distance Education/World Campus, and Public Broadcasting.
Industrial Research Office
With more than 2,500 science and technology researchers at Penn State, the IRO assists companies in identifying and accessing the faculty expertise that matches their research needs.
Intellectual Property Office
The IPO protects the inventions of Penn State faculty, staff and students, and promotes commercialization of inventions and discoveries arising from University research through licensing agreements with companies.
Justice and Safety Institute
The Penn State Justice and Safety Institute was formed in 1971 to meet the professional development needs of law enforcement and public safety professionals.
Materials Research Institute
An administrative unit responsible for conveying Penn State's capabilities to the world-wide materials community, for coordinating common interests and activities throughout the Penn State materials community, and for communicating the needs of materials researchers to the University administration. The multi-user facilities at the MRI include the Materials Characterization Lab (MCL), a state-of-the-art analytical laboratory with a wide set of materials characterization tools and techniques, and the Penn State Nanofab, part of the National Nanotechnology Infrastructure Network (NNIN), enabling fabrication of electrical, optical, and mechanical devices at the micro and nano scale.
Office for Research Protections
The Office for Research Protections (ORP), "where research and integrity come together", originated in 1990. Our mission: a. endorse a model for conducting outstanding research b. promote trust and respect among researchers, compliance committees and the community c. facilitate a partnership of shared responsibility

Office of Investment Management
The Penn State Office of Investment Management (OIM) oversees the day-to-day management and administration of University investment funds. OIM submits policies and practices as appropriate for achieving investment and spending objectives to the Penn State Investment Council (PSIC) for their approval.
Office of Sponsored Programs
The Penn State Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) is responsible for administering all research awards that come into Penn State. Negotiations for awards and contracts are conducted in this office, as well as oversight for adherence to University and Agency policies and procedures.
Penn State Public Broadcasting
Through WPSU, as well as our Educational Services, Media Solutions production unit and Media Sales department, Penn State Public Broadcasting enriches the quality of life for all of our diverse audiences. We produce, acquire and distribute programs that address local interests and which reflect the diverse cultural, political, geographic and demographic characteristics of our constituencies. Our programs encourage the diversity of opinions and perspectives, while ensuring balance, fairness and a commitment to editorial integrity.
Pennsylvania Technical Assistance Program (PennTAP)
PennTAP supports technology-based economic development by helping Pennsylvania companies improve competitiveness by providing a limited amount of free technology assistance to help resolve specific technical needs.
Small Business Development Center
The Penn State Small Business Development Center (SBDC) offers free business consulting for Centre and Mifflin counties. Whether you already own a business or are planning to start one, our seminars and free consultations can help you achieve your goals. Established in 1997, the Penn State SBDC is one of eighteen such centers in Pennsylvania, and one of more than 1,000 centers nationwide. When you give us a call, you are tapping into a pool of experts and resources that spans the country. Survey Research Center
The Survey Research Center is part of the Social Science Research Institute and serves the Penn State research community by providing high quality survey research services to faculty, graduate students, and institutional investigators. As a scientific center, we have four principle missions: providing survey services, promoting and contributing to the science of survey research methodology, helping faculty and student investigators prepare effective proposals for external funding, and educating members of the Penn State community on best practices and emerging developments in the survey research field.
