Nanofabrication Laboratory

The Nanofab provides the opportunity to do hands on research with some of the world's most sophisticated instruments for the fabrication and characterization of materials at the nanoscale. Researchers from universities, government labs, industry, and Penn State take advantage of the expertise and world-class facilities of the Nanofabrication Laboratory.

Contract Research

Did you know that with almost $105 million in industry-sponsored research in FY 2008, Penn State ranks 3rd nationally in this category among universities? With more than 2,500 science and technology-based researchers at Penn State, the Industrial Research Office is available to help companies identify faculty members with the expertise to meet their research needs.

Licensable Technologies

The Intellectual Property Office screens inventions and discoveries made in Penn State facilities for patentability, commercial potential, and general marketability. Technologies available for licensing are made available to the public.
