Nanofabrication Laboratory
The Nanofab provides the opportunity to do hands on research with some of the world's most sophisticated instruments for the fabrication and characterization of materials at the nanoscale. Researchers from universities, government labs, industry, and Penn State take advantage of the expertise and world-class facilities of the Nanofabrication Laboratory.
The Nanofabrication Laboratory is a contributer to the National Nanotechnology Infrastructure Network (NNIN). The Nanofab offers cross-disciplinary expertise in the areas of spectroscopy, biology, chemistry, physics, optics, electrical engineering, and engineering science.
More than 400 researchers from universities, government labs,
industry, and Penn State take advantage of the expertise and
world-class facilities of the Nanofabrication Laboratory. The Nanofab
provides Class 10 and 100 clean room space, 50-plus specialized
instruments (some one of a kind or one of only a few in the nation),
and a dozen scientific and technical staff on the associate to Ph.D.
level.
For faculty and students, the Nanofab provides the opportunity to do hands on research with some of the world's most sophisticated instruments for the fabrication and characterization of materials at the nanoscale.
