Belinda Tyson, Accounting Assistant, World Campus and Continuing Education

“I currently work in the Bursar’s office for World Campus and Continuing Education, and have been employed at Penn State University for 29 years. One of my personal favorite quotations is by Abraham Lincoln: “I care not for a man’s religion whose dog or cat is not the better for it.” It’s nice to be able to take a break and look out my window and see green grass, flowering trees, and people taking a leisurely stroll around the park. I like the fact that there’s elective classes offered such as yoga, salsa dancing, and Zumba during lunch hour, and it’s very convenient that the CATA buses run to and from campus. My husband and I enjoy attending auctions and collecting antiques, and we’re both avid Pittsburgh Penguins and Pirates fans. I relax by working in my many flower beds, decorating our house, and spoiling our beautiful rescued Furperson, Tessie. If you happen to attend a State College Spikes baseball game you will probably see me there working as a member of the stadium staff.”
